Technologies for the Valorization of Family Farming Residues in Latin America and the Caribbean through Bioeconomy Strategies
The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) commissioned CTA to prepare the Report on Technologies for the Valorization of Family Farming Residues in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) through Bioeconomy Strategies.
The region has a large volume of biomass (residues) from family farming. The application of bioeconomy strategies can contribute to its valorization. The report elaborated by CTA analyzes the opportunities and challenges and identifies a catalog of technologies for agricultural use. Finally, the study proposes a roadmap for the adoption of bioeconomy strategies in LAC in short, medium and long-term.
