DURABLE
Maintenance drones and robots to enhance renewable energy systems in the Atlantic Area
The aim of DURABLE project is to accelerate the deployment of renewable energies in the Atlantic Area (Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland and the UK), through the application of drones and robots for operation and maintenance activities in wind and solar energy systems. The application of this technology will automate inspection and repair tasks, reducing costs and favoring clean energy production.
The project has a budget of € 3,9 million and is funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme through the European Regional Development Fund.
DURABLE is led by the Ecole Supérieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées and 12 partners from 5 European countries participate, among which are three Andalusian partners: The University of Seville, Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) and the Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC).
Under the acronym DURABLE, the full name of the project is ‘Maintenance drones and robots to enhance renewable energy systems in the Atlantic Area’.
