Boosting the financing of innovation for Green Growth sectors through innovative clusters services in the MED area

The European Project finMED aims to boost innovation funding tied to green growth sectors -sustainable or environmentally friendly- in the Mediterranean region.

This project counts with a budget of 4,3 million euros (85% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the Interreg-Med transnational EU cooperation programme) and has a duration of four years. It is led by the Piedmont Region and will be developed by a consortium of 15 partners based in 9 european countries (Italy, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, Cyprus, Slovenia, France, Malta and Spain).

finMED aims to achieve concrete results in three areas:

  • To create public policies and to develop and adopt new concepts, principles and practices to fund green growth strategies.
  • To drive business innovation, enhancing interaction and collaboration (regional and cross-border) between involved parts and bridging the gap between the companies and the funders.
  • To stimulate the abilities of the green sectors (environmentally sustainable), promoting and activelly supporting its adaptation to the emerging funding challenges.

CTA activity

CTA will collaborate actively in the analysis of existing instruments, in the identification of success stories and in the proposition of innovative actions. Its main activity will be the establishment of effective collaborative networks among the lead actors of the green sectors (industry, universities, research centers) and the major funding actors (public administrations, investors, etc).
