- The CTA team attended the 100th anniversary of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and the 40th anniversary of ASCAME.
CTA attended on 11th and 12th October a follow-up meeting of the European INTECMED project in Alexandria, where it has been able to meet some of the innovative projects that are part of the INTECMED mentoring programme in Egypt. The meeting was organised by the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations.
INTECMED is a strategic project co-funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC MED programme for cross-border cooperation in the Mediterranean, and gathers 10 partners from Greece, Tunisia, Egypt and Spain. CTA participates in this project in close collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Seville and the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Mediterranean (ASCAME).
The main objective of INTECMED is to accelerate the deployment of an integrated innovation ecosystem in each of the countries involved, to support the transfer of know-how and the commercialisation of research results.
At the Andalusian level, INTECMED has launched a mentoring programme involving 12 entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas with up to €60,000 in prizes.

CTA also attended the 100th anniversary of the Chamber of Commerce of Alexandria and the 40th anniversary of ASCAME, held on 13th October at the Library of Alexandria, where the new challenges of chambers of commerce in the Mediterranean area were discussed.
The event was attended by the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, Ahmed Samir, the Governor of Alexandria, Mohamed Taher El-Sherif, and the President of ASCAME and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, Ahmed El Wakil.
