CTA participates in a coordination meeting of the European In TRANSIT project in Limerick

The In TRANSIT project plans to launch the INNOVATE call, aimed at SMEs in the textile, construction, advanced manufacturing and aerospace sectors, on May 26.

The technical manager of CTA's aerospace sector, Silvia de los Santos; and the Innovation consultant, María Jiménez; have participated in the consortium meeting of the European In TRANSIT project, which took place on May 17 and 18 in Limerick (Ireland).

The objective of the meeting was to present the progress of the project, including the organization of co-creation workshops and preparation of the project's financing calls, among others. Likewise, the meeting agreed on the launch and closing dates of the next call for aid for SMEs, which will open on May 26, as well as the financing conditions for beneficiaries.
 
Finally, the progress of the project's work packages in the first five months of In TRANSIT's life and the next steps to follow have been analyzed, according to the action schedule.

About the project

The European project In TRANSIT aims to strengthen the resilience of SMEs in the textile, aerospace and construction sectors as greener and digital sectors with a mixed support mechanism that includes individual advice and a financing voucher to guarantee their consolidation and sustainability.

CTA, ATEVAL (coordinator) and AEI Tèxtils are the Spanish partners of this project, which is made up of 9 European entities and financed by the Horizon Europe research and innovation program.
 
InTransit (Strengthening the resilience of textile, aerospace, and construction SMEs to transition towards greener and more digital sectors with social and business innovation) has a total budget of 5 million euros, of which three million will be distributed through cascade financing to SMEs and one will be used to provide them with services to advance their digital and green transition.
