{"id":48246,"date":"2022-10-31T09:35:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T05:38:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev-cta.corporaciontecnologica.com\/?post_type=noticias&#038;p=48246"},"modified":"2023-10-02T12:25:27","modified_gmt":"2023-10-02T10:25:27","slug":"__trashed-1459","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/www.corporaciontecnologica.com\/en\/noticias\/__trashed-1459\/","title":{"rendered":"CTA participates in the European project BIOTRANSFORM to accelerate the transition to circular systems based on biotechnology"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The European project BIOTRANSFORM has just started with the participation of <strong>CTA (Corporaci\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de Andaluc\u00eda)<\/strong> and with the aim of providing European policy makers with an adequate assessment and policy development framework, knowledge base and an expert support ecosystem to accelerate the transition from linear fossil-based systems to circular bio-based systems. It is therefore operating at the interface between the circular economy and the bioeconomy transitions.<\/p>\n<p>The project has celebrated its kick-off meeting on October 19 and 20 in Vienna (Austria). During the meeting, all partners presented their responsibilities in the project and shared their ideas and ambitions for a successful implementation to achieve the specific project objectives.<\/p>\n<p>The BIOTRANSFORM project (TRANSFORMATION of the Circular BIOeconomy for the regions by enabling networks of resources and governance) will last thirty months and <strong>its line of work will be marked by the Circular Economy and the transition towards the Bioeconomy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Andaluc\u00eda is one of the six regions participating in the project as case studies<\/strong>. The other regions are: North Burgenland (Austria), Western Macedonia (Greece), in Finland, the Charles Spa region (Czech Republic) and North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). In all of them, by applying a multi-stakeholder approach, BIOTRANSFORM will develop and test its framework proposal to establish and deploy bio-based circular systems. These regional case studies represent several important industries and transition scenarios for Europe, such as forestry, agri-food, lake ecosystems, lignite and minerals, and chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Action roadmaps established in the project will consider the specific regional available resources and infrastructures, conversion pathways, logistics, current policies, strategies and access to finance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>About the project<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p><strong>BIOTRANSFORM<\/strong> has received funding from the Horizon Europe program and includes 10 European entities from Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Finland, Greece, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic.
