The BIOTRANSFORM<\/strong> circular bioeconomy project, which was launched in October 2022 thanks to support (\u20ac2 million in funding) from the Horizon Europe programme, will present its results on 13 March in Brussels at the BIOKET international conference<\/a><\/strong>, which brings together thousands of stakeholders in the biomass sector every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, which will be held at the SQUARE Brussels Meeting Centre from 14h to 16h (CET) under the title ‘BIOTRANSFORM: Advancing Circular Bioeconomy Solutions for a Sustainable Europe\u2019, will be structured in two main blocks<\/a><\/strong>: \u2018Methodology for the circular transformation of the bioeconomy\u2019 and \u2018Regulatory recommendations\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these sessions, representatives of the ten entities promoting the research initiative will present the results obtained in the six regions included as case studies, including Andalusia, describe the barriers encountered for the implementation of green governance models, provide roadmaps and practical tools to accelerate the adoption of circular bioeconomy practices, and explain what synergies have been established with other projects of similar characteristics during the two and a half years that have elapsed since the launch meeting, which took place in Vienna<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CTA, the sole Spanish partner<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Carmen Ronchel<\/strong>, the technical manager of the Foundation’s Biotechnology area, will represent CTA, the only Spanish partner in the consortium. Ronchel will participate in the second session with a presentation focused on the European ROBIN project<\/strong><\/a>, which recently won the Biocircularity State Award for public-private cooperation, as it also seeks to contribute to the green transition by promoting innovative governance models in circular bioeconomy to help regional administrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
