CTA has participated in the consortium meeting of the European project BATMASS<\/a><\/strong>, held on 1st and 2nd April in Brussels (Belgium), with the presence of the Project Officer<\/strong> appointed by the European Commission for the evaluation and monitoring of the project.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the first day, the consortium partners carried out a detailed monitoring of the progress of the different work packages (WP), focused on the reconditioning of electric vehicle batteries, the development of mobile energy storage systems and the advanced recycling of critical components. CTA presented the progress on communication and dissemination, highlighting the actions carried out so far and those planned to reinforce the impact of the project.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing CTA were Germ\u00e1n L\u00f3pez, technical manager of the Energy sector, and Marta Gonz\u00e1lez, Communications technician, both members of the BATMASS team within the organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second day was dedicated to the official review meeting with the European Commission<\/strong>, in which the Project Officer and representatives of different Directorates-General and EU agencies assessed the degree of compliance with the project objectives, deliverables and pilots. Opportunities to accelerate the industrial implementation of the BATMASS results, in line with the European strategies for a circular battery economy, were also discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the main topics discussed were the need to advance in standardisation, technical training and digitalisation to improve traceability and the reuse of lithium batteries in their second life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting took place at the Delegation to the European Union of the Lombardy Region, and was a key step in strengthening the collaboration between partners and aligning the project approach with European priorities in terms of sustainability, innovation and strategic autonomy in clean technologies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
