CTA has been present at the Science Fair 2025<\/strong><\/a>, held on 22, 23 and 24 April at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones (FIBES) in Seville. This meeting, one of the largest science dissemination events at regional level, brought together dozens of educational centres, scientific institutions and innovative entities with the aim of bringing science closer to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From an information stand, the CTA team presented the objectives and progress of AeroSTREAM<\/a><\/strong>, an initiative funded by Horizon Europe that seeks to strengthen research and innovation in autonomous aerial systems through transnational cooperation between institutions in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The project also has a clear vocation for dissemination, bringing technology closer to new generations and promoting scientific vocations from an early age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with AeroSTREAM, CTA also gave visibility to two other European projects in which it participates: WELDIFY and ULTFARMS, both with an important educational and social impact component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WELDIFY<\/a><\/strong> aims to train qualified workers in circular and reused metal welding techniques. At the stand, the collaborating company SURAVIAN offered attendees the chance to assemble aircraft electrical circuits, an activity highly valued by the students as it allowed them to interact with real components and observe original aircraft parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ULTFARMS<\/a><\/strong>, for its part, aims to establish a sustainable production chain for low trophic level species – such as algae and molluscs – in offshore wind farms in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. One of its action lines includes assessing public knowledge on marine aquaculture, with a special focus on perception by age and school audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day, promotional materials for the projects were distributed and a space for direct dialogue was created with students, teachers and families, raising awareness of science, technological innovation and the opportunities offered by European R&D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CTA team was represented by Silvia de los Santos, technical manager of the aerospace sector and production processes; Marina Barquero, Innovation consultant; and Marta Gonz\u00e1lez, Communication technician. The aim of their participation was to convey to the general public the value of the European projects in which CTA collaborates and to promote interest in science and technology and show how innovation has a tangible impact on everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Science Fair, promoted by the Andalusian Society for the Dissemination of Science (SADC)<\/a>,<\/strong> is an educational and informative event of reference. It is a meeting point for citizens, researchers, universities, companies, educational centres and museums, with an international vocation and the participation of Latin American entities. Its aim is to promote scientific knowledge, encourage critical thinking and stimulate scientific vocations in young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
