Corporaci\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de Andaluc\u00eda (CTA), in collaboration with its member company TEPRO<\/strong>, has brought together three operational groups in a presentation held on 15 May at the Expoliva 2025 International Scientific-Technical and Knowledge Transfer Symposium.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The talk, entitled \u2018BBioNets: biotechnological solutions at the service of the Andalusian regional bioeconomy\u2019<\/em> and organised as part of the European BBioNets project<\/a>, brought together representatives of the operational groups BIOREVALEAF<\/strong> (CIDAF and FAECA Granada), BIOLIVA<\/strong> (AZCATEC and ACESUR) and OLEOVALORIZA<\/strong> (San Isidro de Loja Agricultural Cooperative), who presented their advances in the sustainable use of olive by-products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nathalie Chavrier, Technical Manager of the Agri-Food Sector at CTA; Mar\u00eda Alonso, Innovation Consultant; and Mar\u00eda Mu\u00f1oz, R&D&I Technician at TEPRO, were in charge of opening the presentation. During their intervention, they highlighted the role of the EIP-AGRI operational groups<\/strong> and the need to promote bio-based technologies <\/strong>in the agricultural and forestry sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the Andalusian Agricultural and Forestry Network of BBioNets<\/strong> was presented, a collaborative community that promotes the use of biomass in the Andalusian region, with the participation of 12 public and private entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 22nd International Fair of Olive Oil and Allied Industries<\/strong>, Expoliva 2025, will be held from 14 to 17 May in Ja\u00e9n. This event and its scientific and technical symposium brings together thousands of international professionals from the olive oil sector every year. This year, with 300 exhibitors, more than 50,000 people are expected to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About BBioNets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European BBioNets project, funded with nearly two million euros by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, aims to promote the use of bio-based technologies for processing agricultural and forestry biomass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These technologies, developed primarily by the EIP-AGRI Operational Groups, promote economically viable and sustainable practices at regional level.
