Cajamar <\/a>and CTA <\/a>held a technical workshop today in M\u00e1laga<\/strong> to promote Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a driver of innovation in the agri-food value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, held at Cajamar\u2019s Casa de la Cultura in M\u00e1laga, brought together more than 40 experts and sector representatives<\/strong> to explore AI applications across the different stages of the agri-food value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jos\u00e9 Emilio Guerrero, Professor at the Higher Technical School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering (ETSIAM), University of C\u00f3rdoba<\/strong>, outlined the current situation and future prospects of AI in the agri-food industry. This was followed by three roundtable discussions addressing opportunities in the primary sector, processing industry, and distribution<\/strong>, with participation from representatives of Sigfrido Fruit, Tupl, Prolongo-FACCSA, ManSciTech, Tier 1, OGA, and the Universities of M\u00e1laga and Seville.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transformation to adapt to a changing environment<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

During the event, it became clear that Artificial Intelligence (AI<\/strong>) is profoundly transforming the agri-food value chain in Andalusia by providing innovative tools to address key challenges such as sustainability, efficiency, and competitiveness<\/strong>. This technology has become a cornerstone for optimizing production processes, improving product quality, and ensuring food safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, AI is emerging as a true catalyst for technological innovation <\/strong>in the agri-food sector, enabling companies to adapt to a constantly changing environment and meet the demands of a globalized market. Its impact ranges from advanced data analysis to task automation, opening up new opportunities for the sector\u2019s growth and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
