The Spanish Textile Circularity Hub of the European project VERDEinMED<\/strong>, an initiative co-financed by the Interreg Euro-MED program, held its second meeting on July 16 in an online format, bringing together 18 organizations committed to sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organized by Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) and Consorci de la Ribera, both Spanish partners of VERDEinMED, the meeting served as a platform to discuss key issues related to circularity, such as textile waste collection, second-hand clothing, green public procuremen<\/strong>t, public awareness, and the creation of networks to promote the use of recycled materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives from both public and private entities took part in this session, including: the Iberian Textile Recycling Association (ASIRTEX), Association for Textile and Footwear Waste Management (RE-VISTE), ATEVAL, Southern Waste Managers Association (Agresur), Circular Vision Association, Hilo Color Plus, Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE), La Casa Amarilla M\u00e1laga, Mayoral, ONVERSED, Rioma, Rurapolis, SIC-MODA, Silbon, Somos Naturaleza Foundation, Texlimca, The Circular Project, <\/strong>and the University of C\u00f3rdoba.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the Spanish Textile Circularity Hub of VERDEinMED is to foster collaboration among national entities linked to the circular economy. Through regular meetings, the current situation of the textile sector in terms of circularity is analyzed, as well as the European regulatory framework, proposing improvements adapted to local and regional contexts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative is part of a network of hubs replicated by the project partners in countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, and North Macedonia<\/strong>, consolidating a pan-European space dedicated to promoting textile sustainability. The Spanish Hub plans to hold another meeting before the end of the year to continue strengthening its impact and growth.

Open call for textile companies<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To promote circularity in the sector, the VERDEinMED project has launched a Call for support services and mentoring aimed at companies wishing to enhance sustainability and textile circularity. The call is open until August 31<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
