Sevilla TechPark<\/strong>, under the authority of the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation<\/strong>,<\/a> continues to make progress on the global Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI)<\/strong> project, aimed at implementing measures to transform the park into a decarbonized, sustainable, and energy self-sufficient<\/strong> site, in line with the objectives of the eCitySevilla<\/strong> initiative. The technology park has today launched three new preliminary market consultations<\/strong>, focused on the smart digitalization of the park<\/strong>: digital infrastructure, data platform, and an event, emergency, and security management system with a digital twin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The preliminary market consultations<\/strong> aim to open the door to participation from private companies<\/strong>, specialized in various sectors, in future public procurement procedures<\/strong>. In this way, companies that wish to do so can submit their proposals for the implementation of these measures, so that the contracting authority<\/strong> (in this case, the managing company of Sevilla TechPark<\/a><\/strong>) can take them into account in the public tender<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


With the launch of the 12 lines included in the PPI process<\/strong> (to which the Ministry has allocated a total of \u20ac19.8 million<\/strong> through the ERDF Andalusia 2021\u20132027 Programme<\/strong>), Sevilla TechPark<\/strong> will become a leading urban laboratory<\/strong>, testing products or services that do not yet exist on the market and that could be applied to other urban environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The preliminary market consultations<\/strong> published today represent a total budget of \u20ac3.88 million<\/strong> and share a common goal: to improve the operational efficiency<\/strong>, security<\/strong>, and sustainability<\/strong> of the park through the use of advanced technologies<\/strong> such as artificial intelligence<\/strong>, 5G<\/strong>, and cloud computing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the three proposed lines focuses on the implementation of an event, emergency, and security management system<\/strong> using a digital twin and area protection<\/strong>. A digital twin<\/strong> is a virtual representation<\/strong> of a physical object that integrates real-time data<\/strong>, which can be collected through sensors<\/strong> or data analytics technologies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This system would make it possible to simulate scenarios<\/strong>, anticipate risks<\/strong>, and automate responses<\/strong> to situations such as large crowds, thanks to the use of advanced computing<\/strong>, 5G networks<\/strong>, and artificial intelligence tools<\/strong>. The budget allocated<\/strong> to this line is \u20ac660,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The second preliminary market consultation<\/strong> refers to the development of an interoperable and scalable digital infrastructure<\/strong> that enables the active and continuous management<\/strong> of the park. This infrastructure should facilitate collaboration between entities<\/strong>, promote environmental sustainability<\/strong>, and bring intelligence to buildings<\/strong> by integrating sensors<\/strong>, communication networks<\/strong>, and real-time analytics platforms<\/strong>. The amount allocated<\/strong> to this challenge is \u20ac2,160,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The last of the lines published today focuses on the need to create a control room<\/strong> based on an open data platform<\/strong> accessible to the companies within the park. This platform must allow for the visualization and analysis of real-time data<\/strong>, facilitating strategic and operational decision-making<\/strong>. It represents a commitment to transparency<\/strong>, interoperability<\/strong>, and the use of artificial intelligence<\/strong> to optimize the park\u2019s resources. This line has a budget allocation of \u20ac1,060,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Natural or legal persons<\/strong>, whether public or private<\/strong>, may submit proposals to these consultations, either individually or as part of a consortium<\/strong>. The submission period will remain open until September 29<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
