On July 24, CTA held the inauguration of the Local Advisory Board<\/strong> of the European project CircleMED, an initiative funded by the Interreg Euro-MED programme that aims to promote the circular economy across three strategic areas: waste management, water treatment, and sustainable tourism<\/strong>.

The online event included the participation of representatives from Cetaqua, UCAUCE<\/strong> (Union of Consumers of Andalusia), the University of M\u00e1laga<\/strong>, the University of Granada<\/strong>, Loyola University<\/strong>, the Andalusian Institute for Research and Innovation in Tourism<\/strong> (IATUR) and the cultural organization ZEMOS98<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the objectives of the Local Advisory Board were presented. The board will act as a link between the project and the local context, providing advice and technical support <\/strong>to CircleMED partners. Additionally, it will help identify specific needs and opportunities in Andalusia, foster cross-sector collaboration, and ensure that the solutions developed by the project are adapted to the regional context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital Tool for the Circular Economy<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the key milestones of the session was the presentation of the progress made on the CircleMED Interactive Digital Tool for the Circular Economy<\/strong>, which is scheduled for validation in October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This innovative platform will allow SMEs and local stakeholders to assess their level of circularity based on international ISO standards <\/strong>59020 and 59010, access personalized action plans, and track their progress through dynamic visualizations and gamified incentives. All features will be accessible from any device thanks to its mobile-first design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
