On 12 and 13 November, the BATMASS<\/a> project held a new consortium meeting in Italy, a key meeting to assess the technical progress of the project and coordinate the next steps with the European partners involved in creating a circular value chain for batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first day took place at the Politecnico di Milano, where the overall progress of the project and the status of deliverables were reviewed. The partners presented the progress of the various pilot projects \u2014 including dismantling, second life at module and cell level, and black mass treatment \u2014 and visited the POLIMI laboratories to learn about the development of the technologies currently in progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the second day, the meeting continued at the Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Pavia, where communication and dissemination activities, interregional coordination for the Circular Battery Valley, market conditions and investment replication were discussed. The day concluded with a steering committee meeting and a visit to the UNIPV laboratories, focusing on joint experimental planning between the various project pilots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing CTA were innovation consultants Rafael Castillo and Juanita Zenteno, together with communications specialist Marta Gonz\u00e1lez. CTA leads BATMASS’s dissemination and communication tasks, helping to raise awareness of the project’s progress and facilitate knowledge transfer between regions and key players in the European battery ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This face-to-face meeting has given new impetus to the technical and strategic coordination of the consortium, reinforcing the joint commitment to the development of innovative and sustainable technologies for the recycling and reuse of batteries in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
