CTA held a CTA Innovation Forum today to promote industrial innovation within the framework of the NISE (New Industry in Southern Europe) congress, organized by the regional Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines of Junta de Andaluc\u00eda at Fibes (Seville).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leonardo Bueno, CTA\u2019s Chief Financial Officer and Deputy General Director, noted that \u201cAndalusian industry has evolved over the past decades from a traditional model to a more diversified ecosystem,\u201d and stated that \u201cAndalusia can strengthen its industrial competitiveness and move towards a more sustainable, technologically advanced model oriented to international markets. But at the heart of this Andalusian industrial revolution must be innovation: a firm, well-planned commitment supported by R&D and Innovation, in which CTA can be the perfect partner along the way.\u201d Additionally, Bueno pointed out that \u201cNISE promises to become a benchmark venue for Andalusian industry, a place for networking, forging alliances, and discovering new opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Vanessa Moreno, CTA\u2019s Director of International Relations and Communication, presented the Observatory \u201cObjective Innovation: Reactivating Europe\u2019s Engine,\u201d published by CTA in collaboration with APD to mark its 20th anniversary. Moreno explained that the document \u201coffers a multidimensional perspective on how innovation can and should serve as the backbone of a stronger, more sustainable, and competitive Europe.\u201d The Observatory compiles over 45 contributions from some of the most influential and distinguished minds in Spain\u2019s innovation and technological development landscape, including ministers, councilors, company presidents and executives, technologists, innovation managers, entrepreneurs, legal specialists, and consultants in industrial property and intangibles, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aleix Pons, Director of Economy and Finance at the Cotec Foundation, also participated in the meeting, engaging in a conversation with CTA\u2019s Technical Director, Fabi\u00e1n Varas, to reflect on \u201cthe importance of innovation as a driver of industrial growth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, CTA\u2019s Technical Director also moderated a roundtable on successful cases of innovative industries that are members of the foundation. Participants included Mario Guti\u00e9rrez, Researcher at Fertinagro Biotech; Juan Antonio Sanz, R&D Project Manager at Hitachi; Consuelo Trillo, Head of R&D Management at Laboratorios Farmac\u00e9uticos Rovi; and Arturo Enguix, Corporate R&D Formulation Manager at Pers\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About NISE Seville 2025<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

NISE Seville 2025, \u201cNew Industry in Southern Europe,\u201d is the leading international trade fair for the new green and digital industry. Held on December 2\u20133, 2025, at Fibes, Seville Exhibition and Congress Center, this hybrid event (conference and exhibition) will bring together the leading companies in the industrial sector from southern Iberia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Andalusian Government, the Andalusian Industrial Cities Network, and the Andalusian Business Confederation (CEA), with the collaboration of the Seville City Council and organized by the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs (FEDEME), NISE Seville 2025 will address the challenges and opportunities of building a more competitive and sustainable industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CTA Board of Trustees<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

CTA also held its Board of Trustees yesterday, the foundation\u2019s highest governing body, within the framework of NISE, where it reviewed the Foundation\u2019s activities in 2025\u2014a year in which CTA awarded \u20ac8 million in incentives to 39 business R&D&I projects, expected to mobilize more than \u20ac19.49 million in innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CTA Board of Trustees made a very positive assessment of the 2021\u20132025 strategic plan, with all objectives achieved, and looks forward with optimism to the launch in January of the new 2026\u20132029 plan. The new strategic plan aims to strengthen CTA\u2019s role as a public-private collaboration entity for accelerating innovation processes, expand the spectrum of member companies, and grow in Eastern Andalusia with a new headquarters in Granada.
