The European project BioINSouth<\/a><\/strong>, in which CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia)<\/a><\/strong> is a partner, was recognised yesterday at the BioCircular Summit<\/a><\/strong>, held in Madrid, with the Award for Territorial Impact in Biocircularity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spanish representatives of the BioINSouth<\/strong> project are the Agri-Food Cluster ASINCAR<\/strong><\/a>, the technology centre LEITAT<\/a><\/strong>, and CTA (Corporaci\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de Andaluc\u00eda)<\/strong>. The award was collected by Mar\u00eda Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, EU Projects Coordination Head<\/strong> at CTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2nd State Biocircularity Awards<\/strong> strengthen their role as one of Spain\u2019s leading initiatives to highlight and recognise leadership, innovation and cooperation in the field of biocircularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This second edition recognises projects and organisations that are making a decisive contribution to the development of sustainable business models based on the efficient use of biological resources, which are essential to advancing the ecological transition and the decarbonisation of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the eight award categories, the BioINSouth<\/strong> project has been honoured with the Award for Territorial Impact in Biocircularity<\/strong>, which recognises initiatives that promote biocircularity in specific territories, generating positive environmental and social impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BioCircular Summit<\/strong>, organised by BIOCIRC<\/strong> and BIOPLAT<\/strong>, is holding its second edition, consolidating its position as Spain\u2019s leading forum addressing the main subsectors of biocircularity in an integrated manner, including bioenergy, biofuels and eFuels, renewable gases, bioproducts and biorefineries. The event strengthens its ambition to become a key annual meeting point for boosting the biocircular value chain and advancing the ecological transition through sustainable, biocircular solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BioINSouth project, driving the circular bioeconomy in Southern Europe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The European project BioINSouth<\/strong> aims to strengthen the development of the circular bioeconomy in Southern Europe by promoting more innovative, sustainable and interconnected regional ecosystems, capable of accelerating the green transition based on local biological resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BioINSouth is co-funded by the European Union<\/strong> and supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking<\/strong> and its members. The project works to enhance cooperation between public and private stakeholders, build regional capacities, and encourage the uptake of circular bioeconomy solutions tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of Southern European territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
