CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia)<\/a> once again maintained a strong presence at Transfiere 2026<\/a>, Europe\u2019s largest forum for science, technology and innovation, taking place from February 24 to 26 at FYCMA in M\u00e1laga. As a Silver Partner<\/strong>, the organization hosted a large stand that welcomed visits from M\u00e1laga Mayor Francisco de la Torre; Spain\u2019s Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Universities, Juan Cruz Cigudosa; and Andalusia\u2019s Regional Minister of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue, Carolina Espa\u00f1a.

CTA President Beltr\u00e1n P\u00e9rez a<\/strong>nd First Vice President Esther S\u00e1nchez Manzano<\/strong> who also serves as Executive Vice President of member company Sando attended the forum\u2019s official opening. Meanwhile, several CTA experts are taking part in roundtable discussions, a committee organized by Cotec, the final of Transfiere\u2019s DeepTech Startups Open Call, and an interregional bioeconomy committee.

CTA\u2019s stand hosted several member companies and organizations from its wider network, including Genaq, Titania, La Ca\u00f1a Nature, Biomedal, Tier1, Bettergy and Novelingo. Meanwhile, Mayoral showcased its circularity success story at the stand, developed in collaboration with CTA as part of the European VERDEinMED project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stand also highlighted progress in several European projects involving CTA SOLLAGUA, ULTFARMS, VERDEinMED, CircleMED and BioINSouth<\/strong> presenting their latest results across key areas such as water reuse in water-stressed regions, multi-use platforms combining aquaculture and offshore wind energy, circular economy models, and tools to assess the bioeconomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CTA\u2019s Chief Financial Officer and Deputy to the CEO, Leonardo Bueno<\/strong>, along with Advanced Services Director Fabi\u00e1n Varas,<\/strong> held a series of meetings with fellow organizations and innovative companies and took part in a Cotec-led committee with its members and trustees focused on \u201cMunicipalities as spaces for experimentation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varas also joined a roundtable organized by Spain\u2019s Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), addressing CTA\u2019s role as a key instrument in promoting innovation and as a strategic partner of the state-owned entity in Andalusia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CTA\u2019s International Director, David P\u00e1ez<\/strong>, took part in the roundtable \u201cPublic Procurement of Innovation (PPI) \u2013 Dual Technologies and Advanced Materials,\u201d where speakers examined the role of innovation-driven public procurement as a lever for developing technological solutions in strategic and defense-related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, CTA\u2019s Senior Aerospace and Defense Consultant, Silvia de los Santos<\/strong>, held a series of meetings and presented Mayoral\u2019s showcase at the organization\u2019s stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CTA’s EU Projects Coordination\u00a0Head of the International area, Mar\u00eda Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, coordinated an interregional bioeconomy meeting bringing together representatives from Andalusia, Asturias, Catalonia, Castile and Le\u00f3n, Navarre, La Rioja and the Basque Country. The initiative stemming from collaboration between partners in Andalusia, Asturias and Catalonia under the BioINSouth project seeks to strengthen coordination among regions in the field of circular bioeconomy. The session held in M\u00e1laga focused on sharing insights and experiences in the design, publication and implementation of regional circular bioeconomy strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, on Wednesday 25, CTA hosted a networking session at its stand aimed at identifying new opportunities, fostering strategic alliances and promoting innovative projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
