CTA has become the new coordinator of the European Advanced Materials for Batteries Partnership (AMBP)<\/strong><\/a>, an initiative created in 2018 by the European Commission within the framework of the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3)<\/a><\/strong>. Its mission is to accelerate the production, deployment and investment in advanced battery materials through sustainable and competitive technologies, for both mobile and stationary applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AMBP promotes advanced materials as a key enabling technology for European industrial policy<\/strong>, contributing to securing access to critical raw materials and strengthening battery manufacturing capacity in Europe. It also fosters coordinated research and innovation to help bridge the gap between scientific development and industrial application<\/strong>, reduce costs and accelerate the uptake of clean energy and sustainable mobility solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 25 organisations from eight countries<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

In this new phase, CTA will coordinate, together with partners from the Lombardy Region, a network composed of 27 organisations from eight European countries. This alliance will work on the development of collaborative R&D&I projects <\/strong>focused on advanced battery materials, their characterisation and their behaviour under extreme conditions, with the aim of promoting their industrial deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CTA\u2019s appointment strengthens its position as a key player in the European battery and energy storage ecosystem. The Foundation has a strong track record in promoting strategic projects in this field, such as BATMASS<\/a><\/strong> and IRMHUB<\/a><\/strong>, and in supporting companies and technology centres in the development of innovative solutions covering the entire value chain, from materials to their final applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
