Do\u00f1ana Terra Innova<\/strong> project presented the Do\u00f1ana 2030 Living Lab<\/strong> at an event held in the village of El Roc\u00edo (Huelva). The Living Lab is conceived as an ideas laboratory and collaborative workspace aimed at addressing the challenges facing the natural park from within the territory itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do\u00f1ana Terra Innova seeks to position itself as a key instrument to turn the area of influence of the natural park into a benchmark for socio-economic development and sustainable innovation<\/strong>, while protecting and making the most of its natural and territorial resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Do\u00f1ana Terra Innova project, funded by the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnol\u00f3gico y la Innovaci\u00f3n (CDTI<\/a>)<\/strong> and supported by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n y Universidades<\/strong>, is led by Corporaci\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica de Andaluc\u00eda (CTA)<\/strong> and also involves Asaja-Huelva<\/strong>, the Federaci\u00f3n Onubense de Empresarios (FOE)<\/strong>, the Universidad de Huelva (UHU)<\/strong>, and the second-tier cooperatives OnuCoop<\/strong> and Seprocoop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is part of the CDTI\u2019s specific call \u201cDinamizaci\u00f3n de Do\u00f1ana\u201d<\/strong>, included within the Industry Line of the Do\u00f1ana Action Framework promoted by the Ministerio para la Transici\u00f3n Ecol\u00f3gica y el Reto Demogr\u00e1fico (MITECO<\/a>)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by Ana Funes<\/strong>, Head of Service at the Do\u00f1ana Technical Office. This body, under MITECO, is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the Do\u00f1ana Action Framework from within the territory. In her speech, Funes highlighted the importance of this first call led by CDTI: \u201cThis is another example of how the Spanish Government is committed to science and innovation to conserve Do\u00f1ana and boost the economy of the municipalities in its surrounding area.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Fabi\u00e1n Varas<\/strong>, Director of Advanced Innovation Services at CTA, explained that \u201cthe Do\u00f1ana Living Lab is designed to transform ideas into action, enabling companies, cooperatives and local organisations to directly participate in creating viable and applicable solutions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varas added that the Living Lab will identify the challenges affecting the territory\u2019s economic activity, detect opportunities for improvement and growth, prioritise the needs of the productive sector and generate proposals with the potential to become concrete projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Daniel Caldentey<\/strong>, Secretary General of the Federaci\u00f3n Onubense de Empresarios (FOE)<\/strong>, stated during the closing of the event that the Living Lab \u201cis a space where the public and private sectors come together to contribute innovative and sustainable ideas and proposals for the Do\u00f1ana area.\u201d According to Caldentey, this Living Lab \u201cmarks the beginning of the project and will help organise and structure all the ideas and initiatives that will be developed within it across different productive sectors: agriculture, livestock farming, water management, tourism, and others.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, representatives from FOE presented the details of the ideas laboratory and how it will operate, explaining how it aims to transform real needs into practical solutions. They also outlined the process for joining the project, the tools available to participate, and the opportunities it offers to organisations located in the area surrounding the Do\u00f1ana National Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also included open dialogue sessions for the exchange of ideas and for connecting with key stakeholders in local development through a Living Lab activation dynamic called \u201cFrom Diagnosis to Action.\u201d<\/strong> This activity enabled participants to identify the territory\u2019s priorities through a guided practical exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key instrument to make Do\u00f1ana a benchmark for sustainable innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Do\u00f1ana Terra Innova<\/strong> project, funded by the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnol\u00f3gico y la Innovaci\u00f3n (CDTI) and supported by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n y Universidades, will carry out initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable innovation in the municipalities located within the area of influence of the Do\u00f1ana Natural Area, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do\u00f1ana Terra Innova has established the following email address as the single, common channel<\/strong> for receiving ideas and proposals for future R&D&I projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the two-year duration of the project, Do\u00f1ana Terra Innova will focus on identifying, diagnosing and defining innovative initiatives, as well as designing business plans, entrepreneurial projects and Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI)<\/strong> actions.
