The BLUEVISION project aims to accelerate the digital and sustainable modernisation of the European maritime sector by strengthening capacities in sustainable predictive maritime maintenance (SPMM), material circularity, and human-centred remote operations, integrating advanced technologies such as augmented reality and digital twins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative seeks to create a favourable environment for innovation, skills development, and entrepreneurship in strategic maritime infrastructures, fostering collaboration among companies, VET centres, universities, and public authorities. In doing so, the project contributes to improving workplace safety, reducing environmental impact, and optimising operational efficiency, in line with the principles of the circular economy and Europe\u2019s digital transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To achieve this, BLUEVISION will establish a network of maritime incubators in seven countries, acting as \u201cliving labs\u201d where technological and training solutions will be co-designed. These spaces will provide specialised training in SPMM, promote the European recognition of skills, and support gender equality and the inclusion of vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, the project will deploy a sector-specific digital platform bringing together training resources, immersive simulations in industrial metaverse environments, skills assessment tools, and acceleration programmes aimed at women in maritime technology.
