Sevilla TechPark, dependent on the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation, continues advancing in the global Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) project to implement measures aimed at making the park a decarbonized, sustainable, and energy self-sufficient facility, aligned with the objectives of the eCitySevilla initiative. The technology park has published today three new Preliminary Market Consultations, focused on the smart digitalization of the park: digital infrastructure, data platform, and an event, emergency, and security management system with a digital twin.

The Preliminary Market Consultations aim to open participation to private companies specialized in various sectors in future public tender procedures. Thus, companies interested can submit proposals for the implementation of these measures, so that the contracting authority (in this case, the managing company of Sevilla TechPark) takes them into account in the public tender.

With the launch of the 12 lines included in the PPI process (to which the Ministry has allocated a total of €19.8 million through the FEDER Andalusia 2021-2027 Program), Sevilla TechPark will become a reference urban laboratory, testing products or services not yet existing in the market, which could be extrapolated to other urban environments.

The Preliminary Market Consultations published today have a combined budget of €3.88 million and share the common goal of improving the park’s operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability through the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, and cloud computing.

One of the three launched lines proposes the implementation of an event, emergency, and security management system through a digital twin and area protection. A digital twin is the virtual representation of an object incorporating real-time data, which can be captured through sensors or data analysis technologies.

This system would allow simulating scenarios, anticipating risks, and automating responses to, for example, large crowds, thanks to the use of advanced computing, 5G networks, and artificial intelligence tools. The budget allocated to this line is €660,000.

The second Preliminary Market Consultation refers to the development of an interoperable and scalable digital infrastructure that enables active and continuous management of the park. This infrastructure should facilitate collaboration between entities, promote environmental respect, and endow buildings with intelligence by integrating sensors, communication networks, and real-time analysis platforms. The amount assigned to this challenge is €2,160,000.

The last of the lines published today focuses on the need to create a control room based on an open data platform, accessible to companies in the park. This platform must enable visualization and analysis of real-time data, facilitating strategic and operational decision-making. It is a commitment to transparency, interoperability, and the use of artificial intelligence to optimize the park’s resources. This line has an allocation of €1,060,000.

Proposals for these consultations may be submitted by individuals or legal entities, public or private, individually or in consortium. The submission deadline will remain open until September 29.

The informative materials related to the Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) for Lines 10, 11, and 12 are already available. Below, you can access both the webinar recording and the specific presentations for each line, as well as consult the general Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) portal of Sevilla TechPark, where you will find extended information and other resources of interest:
