The main objective of AIR-Andalusia (AIRA) is to establish and ensure the effective operation of a regional node of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in Andalusia. This project is a key tool for driving the region’s digital transformation, focusing on applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics for SMEs, small-cap and mid-cap companies, and public sector organisations.

AIRA aims to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of entities by providing access to various digitisation services designed to improve business processes, products or services. This regional infrastructure supporting advanced digitisation combines diagnosis, expert support and impact measurement in its main lines of action, which include Test Before Invest, training and education, investment support, and ecosystem and networking.

Among the objectives of the three-year project are to accompany 1,330 entities in their digital transformation process and to support more than 2,000 SMEs. The project will cover the whole of Andalusia, aligning itself with the regional smart specialisation strategy (S4Andalucía) and prioritising sectors such as sustainable agri-food, smart industry, health and biotechnology, sustainable tourism, the circular economy and renewable energies.

The consortium, comprising 20 partners and one associated partner, includes research and technology organisations (RTOs), universities, technology parks and business associations.

CTA's activity

Within AIR-Andalusia, CTA leads work package 5: ‘Support for the search for financial sources & investment’. This package includes three main tasks: identifying and analysing available financial instruments, preparing and providing investment support services, and organising training events and presentations to investors to connect innovative projects with sources of funding.

In addition, CTA will collaborate in project coordination activities and communication and dissemination tasks, thereby reinforcing the overall impact of AIR-Andalusia.
