CTA organises a workshop on funding and entrepreneurship as part of SCAIRA
  • The activity, held under Service 14 of the European project's programme, brought together the start-ups selected in the third call and sector experts at the foundation's headquarters in Seville.

The European SCAIRA project held a new event at CTA’s headquarters in Seville, bringing together entrepreneurship, investment and industry. Entitled ‘SCAIRA B2B and B2F networking: start-ups, industry and investment’, the event was held as part of Service 14 of the acceleration programme promoted by the consortium.

The activity, organised by CTA in its capacity as a consortium partner, brought together beneficiary start-ups, investors and specialists with the aim of generating valuable contacts and providing the participating initiatives with direct guidance on some of the main challenges they face during their growth stages.

On this occasion, technology companies operating in the aeronautics and automotive sectors and selected in SCAIRA’s third and final call took part. Following the opening of the event, five of the nine start-ups selected in this round, Alessandro Innocenti and Luis Segovia (Digital Shape Engineering), Daniel Remón (Enrev), António Coelho (NextIHub), Abdennacer Bengueddoudj (Alyzai) and Javier Urrios (Hisperion Aerospace), presented their solutions and business models to the experts in attendance. The presentations showcased proposals from different technological fields and, at the same time, enabled an initial exchange of recommendations on funding, scaling up, solution validation and business development.

Impact investment in focus

The agenda included the round table ‘Impact investment: business angels in Europe’, featuring Jerónimo Béjar (EONIQ Fund), Marta Escobar (AXON Partners Group), Juan Carlos Bugallo (Startups.st) and Alexandre Grandremy (Planet Impact Advisory).

During the discussion, the speakers shared their views on the factors investors consider when assessing start-ups and innovative projects, the trends attracting the greatest interest in the European market and some of the aspects that can help emerging companies approach their fundraising processes with a stronger chance of success.

Individual advice for start-ups

Following the round table, the event continued with a speed mentoring session. This format enabled the entrepreneurs to hold one-to-one meetings with the experts and raise specific questions related to their projects. The meetings provided a more personalised working space to compare strategies, analyse specific needs and identify potential avenues for growth, collaboration or access to investment.

The programme concluded with a networking reception, where start-ups, investors and other representatives of the ecosystem were able to continue the conversations begun during the event in a more relaxed setting.

SCAIRA, co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe programme, aims to support the creation and acceleration of technology companies in the aerospace and automotive sectors in France, Portugal and Spain. With this new activity, the project is entering its final phase, with completion scheduled for 31 December 2026.
