Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) has participated once again in Fruit Attraction 2025, one of the most prominent international fruit and vegetable trade fairs, held from 30 September to 2 October in Madrid.
On this occasion, Innovation Consultant Paula Rosa and International Projects Communications Manager Sofía Sánchez visited the Biotech Forum, organised by the Biovegen – Plant Biotechnology Technology Platform, to promote the European BBioNets project.
In the talk ‘BBioNets Info-Day & Train-the-Trainer: Network and digital tool for the bioeconomy’, Paula Rosa presented the latest developments in this project, funded by Horizon Europe, which aims to promote Bio-based Technologies in the management and use of agricultural and forestry biomass. The session, organised by CTA and TEPRO, partners of BBioNets, included a practical training block (Train-the-Trainer) that allowed attendees to learn how to use the new tool developed in the project effectively, which will soon be available on the project’s knowledge platform.
Bio-based Technologies Catalogue
The interactive digital tool created by BBioNets partners is designed to facilitate the management and valorisation of agricultural and forestry biomass by identifying the technologies best suited to the specific needs of each region. This tool allows users to filter, compare and prioritise technologies according to their needs.
Available in web format, the platform also includes a catalogue of Bio-based Technologies, a series of educational and training materials to promote the transfer of innovative solutions, and a regional study of the six regions participating in the project.
The platform also offers an intuitive, visual interface that helps farmers, managers and policymakers make data-driven decisions, optimise investments and contribute to a more circular and sustainable bioeconomy.
