The European BATMASS project, in which CTA participates as a partner and also leads project communication, was present for the second consecutive year at the international Battery Innovation Days (BID) trade fair, whose fifth edition was held on 2 and 3 December 2025 in Graz (Austria) and also online.

This landmark meeting brought together policymakers, scientists and industry representatives to advance battery innovation and strengthen the European battery ecosystem, with a particular focus on sustainability and circularity.
Throughout the event, jointly organised by Battery 2030+, BEPA and the IPCEI initiatives, the BATMASS team presented the project’s progress in developing innovative recycling solutions, material recovery and second-life applications. These technologies contribute to promoting a more sustainable and competitive European model, which is key to building Europe’s Circular Battery Valley (CBV).

The 2025 edition, coordinated by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG), featured expert panels, networking sessions, technical visits and the presentation of the Battery Young Researcher Award. Once again, Battery Innovation Days has established itself as an essential meeting point for those working in battery innovation, accelerating progress towards a greener, more circular industry.
