Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) and its member company TEPRO, both partners in the European project BBioNets, held a workshop at CTA’s headquarters in Seville aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among entities from the Andalusian agri-forestry sector, with the goal of boosting the bioeconomy in the region.
The meeting brought together members of the BBioNets Andalusian Agricultural and Forestry Network, including representatives from the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development and the Regional Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment of the Government of Andalusia, Andalucía TRADE, Mancera Productores Agrícolas S.C.A., and Grupo La Caña.
The event included a Train-the-Trainers session, during which project progress was presented along with an interactive digital tool for the management and valorization of agricultural and forestry biomass, as well as a Policy Workshop focused on knowledge exchange and the definition of strategic proposals or “Action Points” to promote Bio-based Technologies in Andalusia.
BBioNets, a European project funded with nearly €2 million by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, aims to bring Bio-based Technologies developed within EIP-AGRI operational groups closer to different users.
In this initiative, CTA and TEPRO represent Andalusia, participating alongside other European regions such as Ireland, Italy, Greece, Poland, and the Czech Republic, promoting international cooperation and the exchange of best practices to move towards a more sustainable, innovative, and competitive agri-forestry model.
