AeroSTREAM project holds final event and consortium meeting in Croatia
  • AeroSTREAM celebrates its final event in Croatia with the participation of its international partners, highlighting achievements and strengthening strategic collaboration in aerospace technologies and Earth observation.

The European AeroSTREAM, project, which focuses on capacity building in Earth observation and aerospace technologies, held its final event and consortium meeting in the Croatian cities of Osijek and Baranja from 11 to 13 June 2025.

The meeting brought together the consortium partners to take stock of the main achievements of the project, review the results obtained in recent months and strengthen the synergies between the participating institutions. During the event, the most recent progress, the individual contributions of each partner and the key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as the challenges faced in the implementation of AeroSTREAM were presented.

The head of the Aerospace and Production Processes sector, Silvia de los Santos, and the innovation consultant, Marina Barquero, attended on behalf of the entity, actively participating in the technical sessions and the spaces for the exchange of experiences.

Review of results and partner collaborations

The meeting, organised by the coordinating partner UNIZG-FER, started with a welcome session and a general presentation of the progress of the work packages. Subsequently, each participating entity presented its journey through the project, highlighting success stories and lessons learned.

One of the key moments was the workshop organised by Protostar, focused on Earth observation techniques, which allowed attendees to deepen their knowledge of tools applied in the context of the project. In addition, a practical workshop was held on Bounding Box, focusing on satellite and geo-referenced image annotation techniques..

Connection with the territory and cultural activities

The event also included cultural visits, such as a guided tour of Osijek, a visit to the Kopački Rit nature park and a traditional dinner in the Baranja region, fostering informal exchange and strengthening the network of collaboration between the partners.

AeroSTREAM has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme and aims to foster the development of scientific and technological capabilities in the fields of remote sensing, applied artificial intelligence and geospatial analysis, promoting collaboration between European and international institutions. The consortium is composed of universities, research centres and technology companies from different countries, with a special focus on knowledge transfer and specialised training.
