The European project AeroSTREAM (Strengthening Research and Innovation Excellence in Autonomous Aerial Systems) has been present at the International Drone Show 2025 (IDS), the main B2B meeting of the drone sector in Northern Europe, held on 18 and 19 June at Hans Christian Andersen Airport in Odense (Denmark).

CTA, a member of the AeroSTREAM consortium, participated in the event with its own stand dedicated to the project, from which it shared the progress and objectives of this initiative funded by the Horizon Europe programme. CTA was represented by Marina Barquero, Innovation consultant, and Marta González, Communication technician, both members of the team involved in the project.
AeroSTREAM aims to foster scientific excellence in autonomous aerial systems at higher education institutions in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, through collaboration with partners from Spain, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. In total, 14 European entities are involved in the project.
An international forum for innovation in drone technology

The 2025 edition of the International Drone Show brought together more than 1,000 international professionals from key sectors such as defence, energy, agriculture, mobility and critical infrastructures. With more than 80 exhibitors, 28 live demonstrations and an extensive conference programme with more than 50 international speakers, the event has established itself as a strategic space for the promotion of emerging technologies and the creation of new synergies on a European scale.
The main themes addressed include the role of drones in defence and security, their integration into European airspace, the development of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and their growing adoption in industrial and logistics sectors.
International projection of the project
AeroSTREAM’s participation in IDS 2025 has contributed to strengthen its visibility at international level, as well as to generate opportunities for collaboration with actors of the European drone ecosystem, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and the exploration of future partnerships in the field of autonomous aerial systems.
