CTA (Andalusian Technology Corporation) is taking part in the sixth edition of the Mining and Minerals Hall (MMH) 2026 through three European projects – BATMASS, IRMHUB and WELDIFY – which focus on various areas related to the circular economy, the sustainable use of raw materials and industrial skills development.
The event is taking place from 20 to 22 October at the Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES) and brings together companies, institutions, professionals and experts to address the main challenges and opportunities facing the mining industry and strategic raw materials.
In this context, BATMASS and IRMHUB will have stands in the exhibition area, whilst WELDIFY is part of the event programme to showcase its objectives and key achievements.
Three European projects to move towards a more circular industry
BATMASS promotes circular solutions throughout the battery life cycle, from second life and recycling to the recovery of raw materials. At MMH 2026, CTA is presenting the project alongside the S3 Advanced Materials for Batteries Partnership (S3 AMBP) at the Andalusian Regional Government’s stand. Furthermore, BATMASS is taking part in the PERMANET 2026 Annual Event, with a session dedicated to the circular recovery of critical raw materials.

For its part, IRMHUB promotes interregional cooperation to foster circularity and the sustainable supply of critical raw materials, as well as to strengthen the innovation and investment capacities of European regions. As part of MMH 2026, the project is organising a workshop on 22 October on funding innovation in strategic raw materials, led by the ICAMCyL Foundation, which will bring together experts to discuss policies, funding instruments and interregional cooperation aimed at bringing innovative solutions closer to industrial application.
Finally, WELDIFY is working to train professionals specialising in the welding of circular and reused metals. At MMH 2026, CTA will present the project’s progress and its training solutions, which incorporate technologies such as virtual reality and robotics to align training with the needs of the industry.
European innovation for a more sustainable and circular industry
The presence of BATMASS, IRMHUB and WELDIFY at MMH 2026 reflects various areas of work linked to strategic challenges facing European industry: the circularity of batteries, the supply and recovery of critical raw materials, and the training of professionals for new circular production models.
Through these projects, CTA helps to connect the Andalusian innovation ecosystem with European initiatives and to foster collaboration between companies, knowledge centres and other innovation stakeholders.
