On February 11 and 12, CTA was present in Brussels to participate in two strategic events aimed at promoting the European bioeconomy. CTA representatives María García, Carmen Ronchel, and Sandra Gamero attended two events organized by the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) and the European Bioeconomy Cluster Alliance (EBCA), highlighting CTA’s expertise in this field both in European projects and in advanced innovation services.
BIC Matchmaking Event 2026
The BIC Matchmaking Event, held on February 11, was the largest event organized by BIC to date, with over 400 participants. This meeting provided CTA with the opportunity to network with potential consortium partners for the CBE JU Open Call 2026, as well as to explore new business opportunities in the bioindustrial sector.

“From Strategy to Action: The Role of Clusters in the EU Bioeconomy”
On February 12, the meeting “From Strategy to Action: The Role of Clusters in the EU Bioeconomy”, organized by the EBCA and hosted in Brussels by the association European Bioplastics, brought together key stakeholders to discuss how clusters can turn the European Union’s bioeconomy strategies into concrete actions, promoting innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth.
As a founding member of the EBCA, CTA actively participated in the meeting, highlighting its experience in European projects and services related to the bioeconomy in Andalusia. In addition, with the recent opening of its office in Brussels, CTA is strengthening its presence in Europe, as well as that of its member companies, consolidating itself as a key player in strategic initiatives in the sector.
