CTA participates in AIR-Andalusia, the Andalusian AI and Robotics hub that will support more than 2,000 SMEs over the next 3 years
  • CTA is one of the 21 entities participating in this initiative, co-funded with over €5 M by the Digital Europe Programme.
  • AIR-Andalusia aims to support 1,330 entities in their digital transformation and assist more than 2,000 SMEs over the next three years.

CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) is one of the 21 participating entities in AIR-Andalusia, the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) specialized in Artificial Intelligence and Applied Robotics. The project, which will be publicly presented on March 20 in Granada, is designed as a regional infrastructure to support advanced digitalization, focusing on applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics for SMEs, small-cap and mid-cap companies, and public sector organizations.

The goal of AIR-Andalusia is to accelerate the digital transformation of Andalusia’s productive sector. Through five closed calls over its three-year duration, the project will offer specialized services combining assessment, expert guidance, and impact measurement. Its main lines of action include “Test Before Invest,” training and capacity building, investment support, and connection with the European EDIH network, as well as with strategic infrastructures such as AI-on-Demand and AI Factories.

CTA, leader in investment sourcing

Within AIR-Andalusia, CTA will leverage its expertise to lead the work package dedicated to supporting access to funding and investment sources. Its tasks include identifying and analyzing available financial instruments, preparing and delivering investment support services, and organizing training events and investor pitch sessions to connect innovative projects with potential funding sources.

In addition, CTA will collaborate in the project’s coordination activities, as well as in its communication and dissemination, thereby reinforcing the project’s overall impact.

Services launch in April 2026

One of AIR-Andalusia’s key milestones is the launch of its first call in April 2026 to select companies and public entities wishing to join the hub. The project foresees five closed calls over its three-year duration, concentrating the greatest recruitment effort in the initial phase to maximize the support period and impact on participating entities.

In this way, AIR-Andalusia aims to support 1,330 entities in their digital transformation process and provide assistance to more than 2,000 SMEs. The project will cover the entire Andalusian territory, aligning with the regional smart specialization strategy (S4Andalucía) and prioritizing sectors such as sustainable agri-food, smart industry, health and biotechnology, sustainable tourism, the circular economy, and renewable energy.
