CTA is taking part in a new workshop with local stakeholders to present the BIOSTARS toolbox in the Aljarafe–Doñana area

CTA (Andalusian Technology Corporation) took part in a second working session with local stakeholders held on 9 June at the headquarters of ADAD (Aljarafe-Doñana Rural Development Group) in Pilas, as part of the activities of the European BIOSTARS project. The aim of the event was to highlight the progress made by the project and to strengthen the involvement of local stakeholders in the development of innovative solutions for the circular bioeconomy.

Organised by ADAD, the project’s Spanish partner, the event brought together representatives from local organisations and stakeholders involved in rural development in the Aljarafe–Doñana region. During the session, the toolbox developed as part of BIOSTARS was presented, along with other initiatives currently underway to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the region’s rural areas.

CTA played an active role in the event. Marta González, a communications officer at CTA, was responsible for presenting the BIOSTARS toolbox and other project developments, highlighting the tools, resources and initiatives developed to support innovation and entrepreneurship in rural areas of the Aljarafe–Doñana region.

Clara Fernández, CTA’s European project manager, then led the discussion session on the project’s next steps, encouraging participants to get involved and share ideas on the needs, challenges and opportunities within the region. The feedback gathered will help to further adapt BIOSTARS’ tools and initiatives to the realities and requirements of local stakeholders.

The day concluded with an open discussion among the participants, during which possible future lines of collaboration and mechanisms for further strengthening the rural innovation ecosystem in the Aljarafe–Doñana area were discussed.

Representing CTA were Clara Fernández, European projects manager; Marta González, communications officer; and Mariana Velázquez. Participation in this type of event forms part of CTA’s commitment to developing innovative solutions that help generate new sustainable economic opportunities in rural areas.
