CTA has joined SENTIATECH, the Spanish Technology Platform for Advanced Technologies in Contaminant Detection, Safety Prevention and Environmental Monitoring, a non-profit association that brings together companies, technology centres, universities, research organisations and public administrations to foster innovation, promote technological cooperation and define R&D&I priorities in key areas related to health, safety and the environment.
Established within the framework of the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation and the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research (PEICTI), SENTIATECH works to promote the development of advanced technologies for the detection and measurement of chemical substances, pathogens and emerging contaminants, as well as digital enabling technologies applied to the control of chemical and biological risks, microbiological contamination and air quality.
Joining this platform will enable CTA to strengthen its presence within Spain’s leading innovation networks and expand collaboration opportunities with organisations at the forefront of technologies that are highly relevant to the green transition, environmental health, industrial safety and sustainable development. It will also provide access to strategic information on technological trends, regulatory developments, research priorities and funding opportunities for innovative projects.
In addition, the platform promotes the creation of consortia for national and international collaborative R&D&I projects, fosters cooperation among scientific, technological and industrial stakeholders, and facilitates access to technological infrastructures, scientific equipment and specialised forums. It also encourages connections between innovative companies, research centres and investors to support knowledge transfer and accelerate the market uptake of new technologies.
CTA’s participation in SENTIATECH will help identify new opportunities for technological collaboration and funding, strengthening its capacity to support companies and organisations in launching innovative projects and accessing national and European R&D&I programmes. Likewise, it will foster synergies with other actors in the innovation ecosystem and contribute to the development of collaborative initiatives with a positive impact on business competitiveness, sustainability and environmental health.
