The AGERAR PLUS project, in which CTA is participating, will be present at the 7th International Congress on Energy Engineering (iENER’26), to be held on 10 and 11 June 2026 in Málaga.
This leading event will bring together professionals, researchers, companies, public administrations and experts from the energy sector to analyse the main challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, as well as the latest innovations in renewable generation, energy storage, digitalisation and smart grids.
As part of the congress, AGERAR PLUS will take part on 10 June in session 3A ‘Flexibility and Market Mechanisms’, with a presentation entitled ‘Integration of prosumers into smart grids through energy storage, flexible demand and digital tools: results of the AGERAR PLUS project’, to be delivered by Ascensión Zafra, project coordinator at the University of Seville.
The presentation will highlight the main advances and results achieved by the project in promoting smart energy communities, demonstrating how the integration of storage systems, demand flexibility mechanisms and digital solutions contributes to more efficient, sustainable and participatory energy management.
Participation in iENER’26 represents an excellent opportunity to showcase the achievements of AGERAR PLUS, exchange experiences with other stakeholders in the sector, and contribute to the debate on the role of prosumers and energy communities in the future European energy system.
Over the two days of the conference, there will be keynote speeches, parallel technical sessions and knowledge-sharing forums that will foster collaboration between the various players in the energy ecosystem.
iENER’26 is a key meeting point for driving innovation and accelerating the transition towards a more flexible, digital and sustainable energy model.
