Doñana Terra Innova

Promotes innovation and sustainability in Doñana to improve agriculture, water management, energy, and housing.

Doñana Terra Innova is a project aimed at fostering innovation and technology to boost the socio-economic development of the Doñana area, through a two-year work plan that combines nine activities focused on analysis, training, cooperation, and support for future R&D&I projects.

Developed by a consortium comprising Asaja, CTA, the Huelva Business Federation (FOE), OnuCoop, Seprocoop, and the University of Huelva, the project—funded by the CDTI and supported by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities—addresses key territorial challenges such as water management, agriculture, energy, and decent housing. It also creates an innovation ecosystem through initiatives such as the Doñana 2030 Living Lab, the Doñana 2030 Observatory, and the UHU Doñana Chair, with the aim of generating new economic opportunities, quality employment, and a sustainable development model for the municipalities within the area of influence of the Doñana Natural Area.
