Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) has become a member of the European public-private partnership A.SPIRE for cross-sectoral collaboration in R&D and the knowledge transfer between industrial sectors.

The objective of A.SPIRE is to ensure the development of enabling technologies and the exchange of good practices throughout the entire value chain of large-scale production. This will contribute to building a sustainable and efficient process industry in the use of resources and energy.

A.SPIRE is headquartered in Brussels and has more than 160 members between R&D centers and organizations in the production process industry in more than 20 European countries. It represents 20% of the European manufacturing sector in employment and turnover. It has financed 77 innovative projects with a private investment of 3,000 million euros, which have enabled 221 new systems and technologies.

With its incorporation, CTA seeks to mobilize European innovation and collaboration projects, as well as expand its international activity and its member companies. CTA participates in more than 25 European projects to promote R&D and the knowledge transfer and contribute to the competitiveness of Andalusian companies.

European collaboration to achieve the objectives of the Green Deal

A.SPIRE is the entity responsible for managing and implementing the objectives of the European partnership Processes4Planet, whose mission is to contribute to climate neutrality and the circular economy. It also aims to consolidate a competitive process industry, in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreement, the Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan of the European Union (EU).

Greater integration and collaboration between European organizations will facilitate the development of transformative innovations to move towards the sustainability and competitiveness of the sector and generate better jobs and wealth in Europe.
