CTA co-organizes an international event on the challenges of organic production in Europe

CTA, in collaboration with the European clusters Vegepolys Valley (France), Greenport West-Holland (Netherlands) and Clust-ER (Italy), organized an online event on the challenges of organic production in Europe. This event is part of the Plant Intercluster (PIC), a European cluster made up of 10 entities, including CTA, with the aim of promoting innovation around plant production, as well as creating a common strategy to facilitate the international development of clusters and their member companies.

Three expert speakers from the companies AND BioPharma PV (Netherlands), Aboca Group (Italy) and Coexphal (Spain) participated in the event, to explain their challenges, work and vision, regarding the challenge of reaching 25% of production of organic plants, while increasing sustainability and circularity.

Organic production has become a very important part of greenhouse horticulture in Spain. Currently, approximately 12% (3,600 hectares) of the total area of Almería-Granada is certified.
