CTA awarded with bronze label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative

Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) has been awarded with the Bronze Label for the ICT sector by the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI), an entity promoted by the European Commission (EC) that recognizes excellence in cluster management across Europe in an independent and objective way.

The European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) is the entity authorised to organise and carry out the cluster audits that give access to the label. It assesses management excellence and proposes clusters for the Bronze Label award, which is given by the ECEI Committee of Experts.

CTA has obtained this recognition after an evaluation process by the ESCA, in which 36 indicators were considered. The Bronze Label certifies the level of excellence in cluster management and recognizes the value that CTA brings through its services, networking, achievements, recognition and financing.

This certificate is valid until March 2021 and will allow CTA to gain international visibility, facilitating cooperation with international organisations and access to programmes funded by the European Union (EU).

International activity

CTA maintains an intense international activity, on the one hand, through European projects and, on the other, in the multilateral market, through cooperation projects funded by multilateral organisations, such as the World Bank or the Inter-American Development Bank.

Currently, CTA participates in 16 European projects related to the promotion of the bioeconomy, creation of new European value chains, application of ICT to the agri-food sector, blue economy, renewable energies, etc. More information on CTA’s international activity here.
