The European project EXCornsEED celebrates its final event in Rome

The European project EXCornsEED whose objective is the development of sustainable technologies that make it possible to obtain functional ingredients for food, chemical products and cosmetics from secondary effluents from corn, bioethanol and biodiesel biorefineries has held its final event on Monday, February 13 at the La Sapienza University of Rome.

During the event, the results of this project financed by the Horizon 2020 (H2020) program of the European Union were presented. Likewise, the speakers have shared recommendations for tools and technological solutions to promote secondary flows from biorefineries with a circular bioeconomy approach.

The topics addressed in the conference were the technologies and processes for the development of an integrated biorefinery
and the development of new bio-based and value-added products. In addition, the EXCornsEED project was analyzed as a success story.

This event has been organized by CTA, in collaboration with Sapienza University, both partners of the EXCornsEED project.
