The European ConnectEO project aims to promote market access for European earth observation SMEs in two target countries: Australia and Chile. The project will focus on the use of earth observation technologies to address key business opportunities and socioeconomic and environmental challenges in the maritime and agricultural sectors.

ConnectEO will comply with the implementation plan and the internationalization strategy developed within the framework of the European IDEEO project. This European initiative evaluated six countries to determine the potential acceptance of European maritime and agricultural earth observation services. These six countries have been reduced to two for the ConnectEO project, Australia and Chile, as they are considered to have the greatest potential and interest for European companies.

Under the acronym ConnectEO, the full name of the project is “Connecting European Earth Observation to International Markets”, and is funded by the Executive Agency for the European Innovation Council and SMEs (EISMEA), under the COSME Cluster Go International program.

CTA activity

CTA coordinates the work package aimed at empowering European SMEs with relevant information and key skills to exploit target markets in Australia and Chile. To this end, CTA will gather and analyze information on the relevant technical, financial, legal and cultural aspects of these markets for a successful internationalization.
