José Antonio Nieto, the Andalusian Minister for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Development and Public Administration, visited the headquarters of CTA (Andalusian Technology Corporation) today to meet with its President, Beltrán Pérez, and its CEO, Leonardo Bueno. The aim of the meeting was to learn more about CTA’s innovation support model and explore potential areas for collaboration.
Nieto stated that “the Regional Government of Andalusia is supporting the region’s technological potential through investment and project-based incentives under the InnovAndalucía programme.” He added that “CTA is proof that this model works: it has supported more than 6,000 projects, mobilised hundreds of millions of euros in investment, and channelled more than €105 million to Andalusia’s public research groups.”
For his part, CTA President Beltrán Pérez offered the foundation’s support to the Minister, highlighting that CTA “has 20 years of experience promoting technological innovation and, in addition to helping companies and universities turn their R&D&I efforts into business value, it also works closely with public administrations to accelerate innovation processes.”
CTA Chief Executive Officer Leonardo Bueno also noted that the foundation is a national benchmark in Innovation Procurement and has provided support services to different public administrations in more than 30 innovation-based procurement processes. In addition, Bueno stressed that “CTA offers organisations that become part of its ecosystem the opportunity to multiply their growth and results through innovation”.
The Minister was accompanied during the visit by Raúl Jiménez, Managing Director of the Andalusian Digital Agency (ADA). CTA President Beltrán Pérez and CEO Leonardo Bueno were joined by the foundation’s entire management team.
CTA has been appointed by the Regional Government of Andalusia as a collaborating entity for Lines 3 and 4 of the InnovAndalucía programme, mentioned by the Minister during the meeting. The programme offers funding to promote innovation and technological development projects within the framework of the Andalusia ERDF 2021-2027 Programme.
