On Thursday 23, CTA organized the webinar “Green Hydrogen for a sustainable and climate-neutral future of Aviation” within the framework of the European project MERTASTARS, of which it forms part of the consortium as the only Spanish entity.

During the event, the METASTARS project was presented, whose objective is the creation of a group of European clusters to support SMEs in the aerospace and defense (ASD) ecosystem.

The workshop was attended by the National Engineering Representative of Airbus Spain, David Alvaro, who explained the Airbus strategy for the decarbonization of aircraft. The Vice President of the Spanish Hydrogen Technology Platform and Business Development Director of H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies, Africa Castro, also participated, explaining the work of the Spanish Hydrogen Association and the Spanish Hydrogen Technology Platform.

This webinar included the participation of the Director of the Spanish Aerospace Platform, Andrés Catalán, for the closing and conclusions on the situation of decarbonization in the aeronautical sector, what are the challenges that arise and how they can be addressed.
