The new CEO takes the helm of a new phase for the Foundation as it embarks on its 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, focused on strengthening CTA’s role as a public-private collaboration organization to accelerate innovation processes, enhance the delivery of advanced innovation services, expand its membership base, and reinforce its international activity, with a particular focus on projects funded by the European Commission and the Multilateral Market.
Leonardo Bueno Navarro joined CTA in July 2009 as Chief Financial Officer and has taken on increasing responsibilities over the years. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Seville, a Master’s Degree in Financial Management from ESIC, a Master’s Degree in Senior Management of Social Institutions (ADIS), and a Senior Management Programme (AD-1) from the International San Telmo Institute. He has more than 25 years of experience in foundations and private companies across a range of economic sectors.
